The Business Value Consulting team focuses on driving long-term growth and value creation for Stripe's largest and most strategic users. The team quantifies the financial and strategic impact of Stripe's platform (from revenue optimization to operational efficiency) and translates that into the business cases that underpin Stripe's largest and most complex deals. We help drive meaningful business outcomes and accelerate decision-making through a consultative approach that aims to build investment confidence and elevate CxO conversations.

What it asks for · 5

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a fintech, SaaS, or technology role with financial exposure
  • Strong business analysis and financial modeling skills (unit economics, ROI and TCO analysis, sensitivity and scenario modeling, NPV and payback calculations)
  • Working coding experience applied to analytics, automation, or data workflows (Python, SQL, or JavaScript)
  • Effective cross-functional communication and ability to translate between financial outcomes and technical products in simple terms
  • Excellent attention to detail with a governance mindset as assumptions must be sourced, versioned, and defensible

Also a plus

  • Experience building interactive tools or analytical models for broad use
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode) for building dashboards and adoption analytics
  • Exposure to value consulting, deal pricing, or commercial strategy in a SaaS/enterprise technology environment
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

What the job covers

  • Financial model development and ownership: Design, build, QA, and maintain enterprise-grade value tools (ROI and TCO models, payback and NPV analyses, sensitivity and scenario models, competitive benchmarks)
  • Automation and tooling: Engineer integrations between Stripe's internal data sources and value-delivery tooling to automate the generation of financial outputs, narratives, and sales artifacts at scale
  • Code-driven workflows: Apply Python, SQL, and JavaScript to build and maintain data pipelines, automate model generation, and produce formatted outputs that GTM teams can deploy directly in customer conversations
  • Assumptions governance: Build and maintain a documented, version-controlled assumptions library with sourced benchmarks, sign-off workflows, and audit trails, ensuring every model is defensible in a senior customer or board-level context
  • Usage instrumentation: Instrument tools to track GTM adoption, depth of engagement, and output usage. Bring the same analytical rigor to measuring the program's own impact that you apply to the models themselves
  • Scalable solutions: Create reusable templates and modules and build a library of repeatable solutions that accelerate value delivery across the organization
  • Cross-functional partnership: Coordinate across various teams at Stripe to keep benchmarks current and credible, ensure broad scale adoption, and develop innovative solutions

How this page was made

An automated read of a public job posting, fetched August 24, 2026 and last changed by Stripe on August 18, 2026. Every list above is pulled from the posting’s own sentences — nothing rewritten, nothing added, no judgment about the role or the company. Counts and seniority are read off the text by rule, so they can be wrong where the posting is unusual. The original is the only thing that binds. Openings close without warning; check the source before spending an evening on it.
