Limits & fair use

How the free tier works, what's included in each plan, and what counts as misuse.

Free tier

The first tailor is free with no account — no email, no sign-in. One per IP address per day.

After the first tailor, a valid email is required. One free tailor per email per 24 hours. The daily counter resets at midnight UTC.

The free tier runs the full tailoring engine — no quality downgrade. If costs spike without conversion, the model tier may be reduced temporarily.

Paid plans

Unlimited web tailors on Pro ($19/mo · $149/yr) and Plus ($39/mo · $299/yr), with a soft fair-use ceiling of 100 tailors per month for typical job search volume. Running above that is fine — it's a signal, not a hard block.

API access (via the reframed-mcp package or direct REST calls) is included with limits per tier:

  • Pro: 20 API tailors per day
  • Plus: 100 API tailors per day
  • Builder (metered, $0.30 per call): 666 calls per month max ($200 hard cap)

These limits cover any realistic personal job search. If you're hitting them, contact us — we'd rather understand the use case than block you.

What's not allowed

A personal subscription (Pro or Plus) is licensed for one person's job search. Using it to tailor resumes for others at scale — as an agency, recruiter, or bulk service — requires a separate plan. Recruiters: see Reframed Verify.

Attempting to override or inject instructions into the tailoring engine via the resume or job description fields will result in the request being rejected. The engine is built on structured prompts; instruction injection doesn't work and will flag your account.

Automated scraping, credential sharing, or circumventing rate limits will result in account suspension.
