As a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Trust & Safety Engineering, you will drive technical execution across infrastructure initiatives that protect platform integrity, user identity, and data privacy at scale. You will work directly with Security Engineering, Identity Infrastructure, Machine Learning, and Core Platform teams to design, build, and deploy systems for authentication, access control, and anomaly detection.

What it asks for · 6

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, ambiguous security programs that operate across organizational boundaries, ideally in cloud-native or SaaS environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to see the big picture, translate vision into execution, and drive alignment across senior stakeholders.
  • Deep technical literacy in IAM (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC), data privacy controls, anomaly detection pipelines, abuse prevention systems and risk assessment, comfortable partnering directly with engineering leaders and architects.
  • Ability to develop scalable solutions, optimize processes, and foster a “security by default” mindset across engineering and developer teams.
  • Data-driven approach: skilled at defining effective metrics, surfacing insights, and using results to shape strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • A track record of building consensus and driving outcomes in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

What the job covers

  • Define, articulate, and own the security program strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Databricks’ business and product goals.
  • Drive initiatives across Identity Infrastructure, Data Governance, Platform Security, Machine Learning, and Trust Engineering.
  • Oversee execution of complex security engineering multi-half initiatives (AuthN/AuthZ/Secret/PKI/Cryptography,etc), demonstrating ownership from strategy through outcomes.
  • Leverage deep technical knowledge of cloud, distributed systems, and security engineering to influence design decisions, proactively identify risks, and remove roadblocks.
  • Define and track security metrics (KPIs, OKRs), using data to drive decisions, communicate program health, and measure business impact.
  • Present program status, risks, and progress to executive and technical audiences, building trust and ensuring transparency around security posture.

How this page was made

An automated read of a public job posting, fetched October 2, 2026 and last changed by Databricks on October 2, 2026. Every list above is pulled from the posting’s own sentences — nothing rewritten, nothing added, no judgment about the role or the company. Counts and seniority are read off the text by rule, so they can be wrong where the posting is unusual. The original is the only thing that binds. Openings close without warning; check the source before spending an evening on it.
