We're looking for a content lead who sits at the intersection of brand content storytelling and AI-era discoverability. You will own the creation of high-quality and high-volume brand content, ensuring that content is structured, distributed, and measured to win visibility across AI answer engines. You will produce and edit compelling content and employ optimization strategies to make sure LLMs discover, parse, and cite it. You will identify content gaps by analyzing where the brand is (and isn't) showing up in LLM answers, map those gaps against business objectives, target audiences, and product priorities, and orchestrate a mix of AI agents, technical writers, and internal teams to close them. A core part of this orchestration is overseeing a system of AI agents that create, optimize, and evaluate content — a task that requires real editorial expertise applied to prompt design and agent engineering, not just tool adoption. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the brand context, target prompts, and writing guidelines that guide agents and internal SMEs to create on-brand, accurate, and authoritative content. A major part of the role is editorial judgment: this includes reviewing drafts from agents and adjusting prompts and inputs to improve output quality.

What it asks for · 10

  • 10+ years in content strategy, brand content, or editorial leadership, with experience managing a mix of internal and external contributors.
  • Strong editorial judgment — proven ability to review and elevate drafts across formats to a consistent brand standard.
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals plus hands-on recent GEO/AEO experience — comfortable diagnosing why a brand isn't being cited or surfaced correctly by LLMs.
  • Experience managing agencies and/or freelance contractors, and comfort building and optimizing AI content tools/agents as part of a production workflow.
  • Familiarity with GEO/AI-visibility tools such as Profound, Conductor, AirOps, Peec.ai, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics (GA4) to track technical optimization and brand visibility in traditional search engines.
  • Sharp analytical instincts paired with strong creative/editorial taste.
  • Experience in B2B tech, data/AI, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Familiarity with schema markup and structured data for AI/search discoverability.
  • Experience overseeing video production workflows.

What the job covers

  • The content roadmap is driven by evidence. You've stood up ongoing GEO/AI answer analysis, and every major content bet ties back to a documented gap — where the brand is underrepresented, inaccurate, or absent — requiring gap-analysis skills and fluency with GEO/AI-visibility diagnostics.
  • Business priorities and content output are in lockstep. The roadmap (blogs, video, web pages, thought leadership) is visibly built from business objectives, audience search intent, and product priorities, and stakeholders can trace any piece of content back to a prompt that justified it — requiring sharp prioritization judgment and the ability to translate business strategy into editorial direction.
  • A multi-resource content engine runs smoothly. Agencies, freelance contractors, internal writers/producers, and AI content agents are each matched to the content types they're best suited for; workflows include adequate content review, and handoffs don't create bottlenecks — all of which require strong orchestration and tool/vendor/contributor management skills.
  • Every piece of published content clears the bar you’ve set for that medium. You're the final editorial checkpoint on all content — agency, contractor, internal, or AI-generated — and your revision notes are specific enough to reliably lift drafts to brand standard, requiring proven editorial judgment across formats (long-form, blogs, video scripts, web copy).
  • Content is winning visibility and citation share. Published content is structured to be entity-rich, answer-first, well-sourced, and citation-worthy for LLM retrieval, without losing readability or brand voice — requiring hands-on GEO/AEO expertise layered on solid SEO and writing fundamentals.
  • Leadership can see the line from content to business outcome. You track GEO performance alongside traditional metrics and report on it regularly.
  • The broader marketing team writes and creates with GEO/AI-visibility in mind by default . You've enabled marketers across the org on GEO prompts and tools, AI writing agents, brand context, and best practices for quality writing.
