We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team building the Experimentation App. You will own one to two squads to start, partnering closely with our engineers, statisticians, product managers, and designers to turn a deep roadmap into a shipped product.
What it asks for · 5
- 2-3 years experience as a people manager, or as a technical leader with strong mentorship skills. Ideally you have experience in career development, performance management, tracking and optimizing team velocity, and hiring.
- 5+ years experience building and shipping software, with a strong technical background that lets you engage credibly on architecture and tradeoffs even if you are no longer writing most of the code.
- Experience shipping products in a fast-paced environment, comfortable balancing speed with quality and making decisions with customer input as a primary signal.
- You are energized by ambiguity and a large roadmap, and you can help your team prioritize and sequence work to deliver consistently.
- Strong stakeholder management skills. You use empathy, collaboration, and clear communication to work with engineers and non-technical partners alike.
What the job covers
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of strong full-stack and frontend engineers. Help them grow to the next level and continuously provide them opportunities to develop.
- Own delivery for the Experimentation App from planning through production, balancing speed with quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Set technical direction in partnership with your team and our statistics engineers, engaging credibly on architecture and tradeoffs.
- Partner with Product, Design, and customers directly to shape requirements and turn customer and sales input into roadmap.
- Foster a culture of fast iteration and high engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and blameless postmortems.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent as the team scales.
