Databricks is hiring an Analyst Relations Manager to strengthen its position as the category leader in AI, data management, security, business intelligence and emerging markets. You will lead priority analyst evaluations, create the evidence and narratives that differentiate Databricks, and scale the team’s impact through AI-assisted workflows. Working across product, product marketing, sales and executive teams, you will turn analyst insight into better product decisions, positioning and field execution.
What it asks for · 6
- 4–7 years of experience in analyst relations, or in product or technical marketing with direct responsibility for major analyst evaluations, ideally in data, analytics, AI/ML or cloud platforms.
- A track record of improving analyst evaluation placement, market perception or coverage, with results you can clearly describe.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve research, writing or program workflows, with the ability to identify and implement practical opportunities for scale. Strong technical writing skills and the ability to turn complex product capabilities into differentiated, evidence-based narratives that analysts and senior executives can evaluate quickly.
- Strong program management skills, including the ability to run multiple detailed, deadline-driven workstreams while maintaining quality and meeting commitments.
- Experience preparing executives and technical experts for analyst conversations and aligning them on strategy, messaging and proof points.
- The ability to influence product, marketing and sales partners, move work forward with limited support and collaborate effectively on a small, fast-moving team.
What the job covers
- Improve Databricks’ placement and movement in priority Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScapes and similar evaluations through complete, differentiated submissions, compelling demonstrations and credible customer evidence.
- Increase the team’s evaluation capacity without sacrificing quality by delivering priority questionnaires, RFIs, briefings, demonstrations, references and fact checks on time and in full as evaluation volume grows.
- Improve the quality and consistency of Databricks’ analyst-facing content by developing clear, scoreable proof points and narratives that product and product marketing experts can reuse across evaluations and briefings.
- Increase analyst advocacy and market visibility , measured by the frequency with which analysts cite or quote Databricks, reference its experts and customers, and invite the company to participate in relevant industry and analyst-firm events.
- Improve executive and technical-expert effectiveness in high-stakes analyst conversations by ensuring leaders are aligned on narrative, differentiation and proof points before inquiries, briefings, demonstrations and advisory sessions.
- Scale AR with AI. Build and run AI-assisted workflows for RFI drafting and review, analyst outreach and follow-up, research summaries, and finding analyst quotes and stats. Enable product marketing, product and field teams to complete repeatable research, drafting and follow-up work with less direct AR support.
- Turn analyst research, inquiry feedback and evaluation results into recommendations that influence product roadmap decisions, messaging, positioning, field plays, campaigns, deals and executive narratives.
