This is a chance to define a foundational product area at Stripe. You will turn a fast-changing set of user and product needs into durable platform primitives that work across products, industries, and geographies.

What it asks for · 7

  • You are a product builder who can move easily between a user’s hardest problem, the business opportunity behind it, and the product decisions needed to solve it.
  • You have worked on technically complex products - such as APIs, developer tools, shared platform capabilities, or core product experiences - but you do not build tech/platform for its own sake. You see strong platform design as a way to help users move faster, create better products, and unlock new business models.
  • You are opinionated, thoughtful, and execution-oriented. You can focus a team on the few decisions that matter most, create momentum in ambiguous situations, and ship products that raise the bar for both quality and impact.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time owning platform, API, or developer-facing products end to end
  • Demonstrated ability to own a product area end to end: setting strategy, driving execution, and measuring outcomes
  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort defining the measurement framework before you ship
  • Clear written communication and the ability to build alignment across functions and levels

Also a plus

  • Experience in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure
  • Experience productizing bespoke or custom solutions into broadly available platform capabilities
  • A track record of making well-judged foundational investments ahead of user demand

What the job covers

  • Bring the next generation of Connect accounts to life. Own key product areas within the account platform, translating strategy into a focused roadmap, crisp product decisions, and high-quality launches.
  • Build from use cases. Start with the real problems platforms face, such as onboarding a new seller, supporting a complex business model, or evolving a user's financial capabilities, and then work towards the primitives needed to solve them well.
  • Make sophisticated infrastructure feel simple. Partner with engineering and design to create API and product experiences that are powerful and intuitive.
  • See around corners. Develop a strong point of view on how AI will change platform economics, participant models, and financial workflows. Make focused foundational investments that unlock the next wave of demand.
  • Turn user signals into durable product investments. Work closely with users, Sales, Partnerships, and other Stripe teams to distinguish bespoke requests from patterns that should become scalable platform capabilities, connecting business needs, user needs, and platform evolution.
  • Drive high-velocity, high-craft execution and own outcomes. Lead cross-functional work from discovery through launch, and hold yourself accountable for developer experience, platform adoption, user value, and business impact, not simply features shipped.

How this page was made

An automated read of a public job posting, fetched August 24, 2026 and last changed by Stripe on August 18, 2026. Every list above is pulled from the posting’s own sentences — nothing rewritten, nothing added, no judgment about the role or the company. Counts and seniority are read off the text by rule, so they can be wrong where the posting is unusual. The original is the only thing that binds. Openings close without warning; check the source before spending an evening on it.
