As the Senior Product Manager for the Actions & Automations team, you will own the ecosystem that enables customers, partners, and Datadog teams to build, deploy, and operate AI agents on Datadog. You will drive the strategy and execution for the platform capabilities, developer experience, integrations, and extensibility model that make Datadog the best place to build agents that understand and act on production systems.
What it asks for · 9
- An experienced Product Manager, ideally at a SaaS, infrastructure, platform, developer tools, or AI company.
- You have a strong technical background and can engage deeply on topics such as AI systems, APIs, platform architecture, developer tooling, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
- You have experience building platforms or ecosystems that enable other developers, teams, or products to create value.
- You are excited by the opportunities and challenges of AI agents and have a strong point of view on how agentic systems will transform software development and operations.
- You have sharp product intuition and can navigate ambiguity, making sound prioritization decisions in fast-moving technology landscapes.
- You are naturally collaborative and thrive in environments where success depends on aligning many teams around a shared vision.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present and defend ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- You are customer-minded with a high quality standard for the products you build.
What the job covers
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Datadog's Agent Builder platform and ecosystem.
- Own the core platform capabilities that enable customers and partners to create, customize, deploy, and manage AI agents.
- Drive the extensibility model for agents, including integrations, tools, actions, context sources, APIs, SDKs, and developer workflows.
- Shape how agents perform actions across Datadog products and third-party systems.
- Partner closely with AI, platform, infrastructure, and product teams across Datadog to establish common agent architecture patterns and platform standards.
- Develop a deep understanding of emerging agent frameworks, orchestration patterns, evaluation techniques, governance models, and operational best practices.
- Be equally comfortable discussing LLM architectures, tool-calling systems, evaluation frameworks, and developer platforms with engineering teams as you are working directly with customers to understand their needs and workflows.
- Evangelize Datadog's vision for operational AI through customer engagements, conferences, blogs, industry events, and thought leadership.
- Work with world-class Product and Engineering teams to develop and communicate roadmaps that inspire our teams' best work and deliver meaningful customer value.
- Support and empower Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Solutions teams to drive adoption and customer success.
- Contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration across the department and broader organization.
- Raise the bar in product management.
